This is only for Canon Characters.
First profile here? Listen up!
If you haven’t posted in the Arrivals board, please do so before you make a character.
I would really like to stress the fact that your very first character profile is your first and biggest impression on this site.
It is very important that you show us your best RP'ing skills and your understanding of this site. We are an intermediate to advanced role play and are looking for members with those skill levels.
Make sure you meet the requirements of each section of the profile form. Use complete sentences, spot for grammar and punctuation problems, and run spell-check before posting. Paragraph breaks are also highly appreciated, and don't re-size or color the text. And above all, you MUST use Scattered World's Character Sheet. I know you might not like this, but our staff members have to go through ALL of the sheets constantly to make sure no one has made an unapproved edit, or just to give the first acceptance.
Acceptance/Rejection
If your Canon Character gets approved it will be moved to the "ACC" (Accepted Canon Character), here it will be locked to keep people from making unapproved edits. If you ever advance IG, PM a staff member and ask them to move you app back to the unapproved section.
If your character does not get approved you will get a PM from a staff member telling you what you need to do in order to fix your application. This is because over the years I've noticed who discouraging it is to have all your faults shown for all the world to see. However a post will be left in your character topic by the staff member who PMed you, this is to keep multiple staff members from PMing you.
To be completely accepted two staff members must approve it. However if a person PMs you with changes, regardless of how many acceptances you get, you may not move on in the process until said person accepts you.
Once your profile has been accepted, we ask that you put a link to it in your signature. The proper format for this is (Remove the ' )
['url=insert link to profile here]Character Name['/url]
You may post an unfinished profile, but the letters “WIP” must be in the title or it will be reviewed and rejected. (WIP stands for work in progress.) All WIP threads will be given one week to be finished and then moved to the Rejected board.
Canon Only Restrictions
Canon characters require a much larger RP sample, this is because they are canon characters. A person can only have 1 canon per ever 1 original character they have. This means that if your first character is a Canon, you must make an original before making a canon. (You can get around this with ADMIN permission.
Also, Canon characters must post at least twice a weak(please don't only post the minimum, this is unfair to other players). If we think your not being active enough with a canon, you will get two warnings. First a warning sent through PMs, then one sent directly to the email you signed up with. If after both these emails you still aren't active enough your character will be removed from you.
- If there is a person who wants a character someone that has not logged onto any of their accounts for 2 consecutive weeks, we hold the right to give that character to someone else without any warning.
If you find any of this confusing, please send me a PM and I'll do my best to help you.
